Japanese Coleslaw

Japanese Coleslaw is light, refreshing and makes a perfect side dish for Crazy Dragon dumplings.


1 1/4 cups shredded or grated carrot
1 1/4 cups finely sliced cabbage

1 tsp castor sugar
2 tsp light soy sauce
1 tsp canola oil
2 1/2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 spring onion, finely chopped

3 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
1/4 cup bonito flakes (katsuobushi)


1. Place carrot and cabbage in a large mixing bowl
2. In a small bowl combine all the dressing ingredients and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
3. Pour dressing over the carrot and cabbage, toss to combine.
4. Top with sesame seeds and bonito flakes (if using).
5. Serve with your favourite Crazy Dragon Dumplings (cooked as per pack instructions).

Coleslaw will keep in the fridge for 1-2 days.
